MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan baseball players Daniel Jipping and Nick Deeg earned individual accolades from the Mid-American Conference on Monday.
Jipping, a sophomore outfielder, was named the MAC West Player of the Week, while Deeg, a junior left-hander, earned the MAC West Pitcher of the Week Award.
Deeg pitched a complete game in the Chippewas’ 1-0 blanking of Toledo on Saturday. He scattered six hits, five of them singles, and did not allow a runner past second base. He struck out five and walked two.
