The Central Michigan baseball team committed a season-high-tying seven errors Saturday in falling to Ball State, 10-7, in a Mid-American Conference game at Theunissen Stadium.
The Chippewas, who won Friday’s series opener, slipped to 8-27, 3-5. Ball State is 22-14, 8-3. The teams will play the rubber match Sunday at 1:05 p.m. at Theunissen.
The Chippewas outhit the Cardinals, 10-9, on Saturday and led 6-3 after five innings and 7-6 after six.
“We did swing the bats well enough to win,” Jaksa said.
