MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Mid-week games can serve a number of purposes for a college baseball team.
For Central Michigan, Wednesday’s 3:05 p.m. contest at Oakland is about regaining the momentum the Chippewas picked up last weekend in winning the first two games of a three-game Mid-American Conference series with Toledo.
And, it’s about looking ahead to the second half of the MAC schedule.
The Chippewas (10-30) squandered a golden opportunity to sweep Toledo last weekend when they committed three errors in dropping a 4-3 decision to the Rockets in Sunday’s series finale.
