PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – The Central Michigan baseball team continued to struggle on its Spring Break trip on Tuesday, falling to Boston College, 9-3, in the Chippewas’ first game in the Snowbird Baseball Classic.
The Chippewas slipped to 1-10. They are scheduled to play Butler (4-7) on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
Boston College (10-2) broke a 3-3 tie with a four-run fourth inning against CMU starter Grant Wolfram, a freshman left-hander.
The Eagles took advantage of two hit batsmen, a walk, a CMU error, and a single in scoring their runs in the fourth.
