After managing just 35 total yards of offense in the first half, the Central Michigan football team stormed back in the second half to overcome a 17-0 deficit in its Mid-American Conference finale against Northern Illinois from Kelly/Shorts Stadium Friday.
The Chippewas (8-4, 6-2 MAC) opened the game with the ball, but didn’t take long to dig themselves a hole. On just the third play from scrimmage, quarterback Shane Morris was intercepted on a crossing route. The Huskies (8-4, 6-2 MAC) returned the interception 37 yards for a touchdown. Chris Hagan’s PAT gave the guests an early 7-0 lead.
