Case Western Reserve University freshman guard Jack Vaselaney came off the bench to score a career-high 17 points to lead all scorers on Friday night, but it was not enough for the Spartans, who suffered am 83-71 setback to Emory University at Horsburgh Gymnasium in Cleveland, Ohio on Friday night.
The loss dropped the Spartans to 9-14 overall, including a 2-10 University Athletic Association record, while Emory remained in first place in the league with a 9-3 conference ledger and an 18-5 overall mark.
Vaselaney surpassed his previous career high of six points, shooting six-of-10 overall and three-of-six from long range to lead the Spartans.
