Case Western Reserve University senior safety Scott Suren was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, after helping lead the Spartans to an emphatic 59-20 win at Bethany College last Saturday.
Suren finished the game with seven tackles (five solo), including two for a loss and one sack. He intercepted a pass at midfield in the second quarter and returned it to the 15 yard line, setting-up a touchdown for the Spartans. He added a strip-sack late in the third quarter to help CWRU cement the victory. Suren also broke up four passes and had a quarterback hurry during the game.
