The Case Western Reserve University baseball team split a doubleheader with Emory on Sunday, closing out the four-game series with an 8-7 setback in the opening game, followed by a 7-4 win in the team's final at bat in the second game of the contest.
With the split, the Spartans end the four-game series with an 11-11 overall record, including a 3-5 mark in University Athletic Association play, while Emory stands at 16-10 overall with a 5-2 UAA record.
Senior catcher Jack Anderson hit safely in both games to extend his hitting streak to 18-straight games, as did junior first baseman Zack Carinci, who stretched his hitting streak to 13-straight contests.
