The Case Western Reserve University men's basketball team's 2018-19 season came to a close on Saturday afternoon with a 97-91 overtime loss to Carnegie Mellon University at Horsburgh Gymnasium in Cleveland, Ohio.
Junior guard Monty Khela scored all of his team-leading 22 points in the second half and overtime, including a three-pointer at the end of regulation that knotted the score at 82-82 and sent the contest into an extra period. However, Carnegie Mellon outscored the Spartans 15-9 in overtime, leading by as many as 12 points in the final minute of the game, before the Spartans made a late run to cut the lead down to as few as five points.
