The Case Western Reserve University men's basketball team improved to 3-0, defeating Washington College 70-66 on Saturday afternoon to claim the 2018 Bill Sudeck Tournament Championship at Horsburgh Gymnasium in Cleveland, Ohio. The Spartans' 3-0 start is their first since the 2015-16 campaign. Meanwhile, the loss was the first of the season for Washington, which fell to 3-1.
CWRU junior forward Michael Hollis was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, scoring nine points and collecting a game-high 13 rebounds. Sophomore guard Ignas Masiulionis claimed a spot on the all-tournament team, leading the squad with 15 points and three steals in the game.
