With Monday officially marking the start of spring, the Case Western Reserve University spring sports seasons are in full swing after returning from trips during last week's spring break. Both the baseball and softball teams start University Athletic Association play this weekend with baseball adding a midweek non-conference game, the outdoor track and field teams head to Pittsburgh for their second outdoor meet, and the women's tennis team hosts three matches.

The Spartans (7-6, 0-0 UAA) are coming off a 3-2 week last week, including a win against then-17th-ranked Cortland and a sweep of a doubleheader at Adrian on Thursday.
