The Case Western Reserve University men's and women's track and field teams turned in strong performances at the Bob Shannon Invitational, hosted by Denison University in Granville, Ohio on Saturday.
The men scored 66.5 points to finish third out of 13 teams at the meet. Carnegie Mellon University won the competition with 189.5 points, while host Denison placed second with 68 points. In the women's portion of the meet, Case Western Reserve placed fourth with 94 points, finishing behind first-place Ohio Wesleyan University (107 points), second-place Carnegie Mellon (97.5 points) and third-place Mount Vernon Nazerene (97 points).
The Spartan women tallied three first-place finishes, and one second-place finish throughout the meet.
