Case Western Reserve University senior quarterback Drew Saxton was named the Offensive Player of the Week for both the Presidents' Athletic Conference and the University Athletic Association, after helping lead the Spartans to a 66-33 win at Waynesburg University on Saturday with a career day under center.
Saxton completed 23-of-34 passes for a career-high 433 yards, the third-highest single-game total in program history. He also matched his career-high with five touchdown passes, one shy of the program's single-game record. Saxton threw for three touchdown passes in the second quarter of the game, completing a 69-yard touchdown to Lucas DeCaro with 14:33 left in the first half, a six-yard touchdown to Aidan Cain with 10:17 left in the period, and a 24-yard strike to Michael Wojkowski with eight-seconds remaining in the half.
