Sophomore Joseph Rhodes V was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week after excelling in various ways during the Spartans' 45-7 win over Bethany on Saturday.
Rhodes helped the Spartans win the field position battle with five touchbacks (more than CWRU has had as a team in any single season since 2016) on kickoffs and a 38.5-yard average on punts, including one inside the 20-yard line. In addition, he converted a 22-yard field goal and all six of his extra-point attempts.
Rhodes has converted 16-of-17 extra point attempts (94%) and both of his field goal tries this season, averaging 37.
