Sophomore distance runner Trey Razanauskas of the Case Western Reserve University men's track and field team set a new school-record in the 5,000-meter run at the Dr. Keeler Invitational hosted by North Central University in Naperville, Illinois on Thursday evening.
With a time of 14:24.91, Razanauskas finished competition in fourth place. The time bested Sam Merriman's time of 14:29.93 set back in 2017.
Prior to Thursday's competition, Razanauskas' best time in the event was a 15:02.42 set at the 2019 UAA Outdoor Championships. His time of 14:24.91 currently ranks 12th among all NCAA Division III competitors.
