Case Western Reserve University junior wide receiver Colt Morgan was named the University Athletic Association Offensive Athlete of the Week for football, after helping lead the no. 21/17 Spartans' offense in a 30-23 win over Geneva College at DiSanto Field on Saturday.
Morgan finished the game with 10 catches for 111 yards, and caught a 30-yard touchdown pass from Drew Saxton with 2:34 remaining in the first quarter. The score gave the Spartans a 14-7 lead, and the team would hold the advantage for the remainder of the game. The 10 receptions were a season-high for Morgan, and it marked his fifth 100-yard receiving game of the year and his fourth in the last five games.
