Case Western Reserve sophomore Grant Mlack was named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for Men's Track, after helping to lead the Spartans to a first-place finish at the 21st-Annual Dick Small Invitational in Defiance, Ohio on Saturday.
It marked the second-straight week that Mlack has been named the UAA Athlete of the Week to begin the 2016 outdoor season.
Mlack won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.27 seconds, the fastest mark by a UAA competitor this year, and the sixth fastest time in all of Division III.
