Highlighting the Spartan performances on Saturday, senior Grant Mlack shattered the school record in the 60-meter hurdles as the Case Western Reserve University men's and women's track and field team finished competition at the Mount Union Tune Up in Alliance, Ohio.
Mlack hurdled to a school-record breaking time for the Spartans in the 60-meter hurdles. Finishing tied for first in the event, Mlack crossed the finish line with a time of 8.10, breaking the record of 8.14 set by Matt Jurcak during the 2012 indoor season.
Also with strong performances for the Spartan men, freshmen Yoshmar Pinal-Alfaro finished second in the 3,000-meter run (9:06.
