Case Western Reserve University senior Rocco Maue was named the second baseman on the 2019 D3baseball.com Preseason All-America team, as announced by the website on Thursday afternoon.
Maue becomes the third CWRU player ever to be named a preseason all-American, joining Chad Mullins (2011 third team) and Andrew Gronski (2015 first team).
Maue is coming off one of the best all-around seasons in program history in 2018. He was named to the D3baseball.com All-America First Team and the American Baseball Coaches Association/ Rawlings All-America Third Team in 2018, while also receiving University Athletic Association Player of the Year honors.
