Case Western Reserve University junior second baseman Rocco Maue was named the University Athletic Association hitter of the week, and freshman pitcher Matt Levine was selected as the conference's pitcher of the week, after the duo helped lead the 13th-ranked Spartans to a series win over Emory University last weekend.
Maue hit .333 (five-for-15) with two doubles, three home runs, five runs scored, three RBIs, two walks and a stolen base over the four games. In the opening game of the series, a 5-2 Emory win, the right-handed hitter went one-for-three with a walk and a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth inning that helped cut the Eagles' lead to a run.
