Case Western Reserve University sophomore guard Ignas Masiulionis was named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for men's basketball, after helping lead the Spartans to a 1-1 record at the 2018 HoopMIA D3 Holiday Shootout in Miami Shores, Florida.
Masiulionis came off the bench in both games, averaging a team-high 21.0 points per game, shooting 43.8% (14-of-32) overall, 40.0% (10-of-25) from the three-point line, and four-of-five from the free throw line. He added 4.5 rebounds per game, a block, an assist and three steals during his 51 total minutes of action.
He scored a career-high 26 points during the Spartans' 88-69 loss to 13th-ranked Plattsburgh State, including 20 in the second half alone, finishing the game shooting nine-of-22 overall (40.
