Case Western Reserve University sophomore Matt Levine was named the final University Athletic Association Pitcher of the Week, following his outstanding performance during the Spartans' 11-0 win over the University of Rochester at the NCAA Division III Regionals in Wooster, Ohio on Saturday.
This was the fourth time this season that Levine has been selected as the UAA's Pitcher of the Week, and the sixth time over his career.
Levine led the Spartans to a win over Rochester in the team's second game at the Regional with a complete-game shutout. The right-handed pitcher allowed just six hits and a walk in the game and struck out five batters, while needing just 111 pitches to go all nine innings in the game.
