Case Western Reserve University senior Matt Levine was named the University Athletic Association Pitcher of the Week, following his standout performance in his final appearance of the 2021 regular season.
Levine pitched a complete game against the College of Wooster on Saturday, leading the Spartans to a 7-2 victory over the Scots. The right-handed pitcher did not allow an earned run in the game and yielded just two total runs on five hits and two walks, while striking out six batters. He picked up the win in the outing to improve to 3-2 overall, while lowering his earned run average to 5.
