Case Western Reserve University freshman Scott Kutschke was named as the relief pitcher on the D3baseball.com Team of the Week, after recording saves in both games of a doubleheader against Baldwin Wallace University on Sunday.
Kutschke pitched a combined 2.1 innings over the two games, allowing just one hit and striking out one batter. He entered the opening contest of the doubleheader with the bases loaded and one out in the eighth inning, and proceeded to record the final two outs of the frame and retire the side in order in the ninth for an 8-5 CWRU win.
