Case Western Reserve University graduate student guard Griffin Kornaker dished out 10 assists on Sunday afternoon to match the program's single-season record, helping four different Spartans score in double figures, but it was not enough for the team, which suffered an 80-70 loss to the University of Rochester on Sunday afternoon in Rochester, New York.
The loss dropped the Spartans to 17-6 overall and to 7-5 in University Athletic Association play, while Rochester improved to 16-7 overall with an 8-5 conference ledger.
Kornaker's 10 assists, his fourth effort of 10 or more helpers this season, give him 145 for the campaign, matching the school record set by former Spartan Jim Fox during the 1996-97 campaign.
