Case Western Reserve University sophomore guard Antonio Ionadi was selected as the University Athletic Association Player of the Week for men's basketball after leading the Spartans to a pair of victories last week.
Ionadi capitalized on his first two starts of the season last week, leading the team in scoring in each game. In a team-high 32 minutes per contest, Ionadi registered 21.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game on 52.2% shooting overall (12-of-23) and 55.0% on three-point attempts (11-of-20), and was a perfect eight-for-eight from the free throw line. During Tuesday night's 63-50 win at Adrian, he led all scorers with 19 points (then a season-best) on five-of-11 shooting overall, including five-for-10 from three-point range, with five rebounds, an assist and a steal.
