Case Western Reserve University sophomore Mark Gross was named the University Athletic Association Pitcher of the Week, after holding opponents without an earned run over two appearances and eight innings of work last week. Gross started and went seven innings in an 8-5 win over Baldwin Wallace on Sunday, surrendering just one unearned run on four hits and two walks and striking out four batters in the game. Earlier in the week, he pitched a hitless and scoreless inning of relief against John Carroll, striking out two batters in a 10-5 CWRU setback.
