Case Western Reserve University first-year forward Cole Frilling (Coldwater, Ohio / Coldwater) was named the 2019-20 University Athletic Association Rookie of the Year, and earned a spot on the all-conference first team, as announced by the league on Thursday afternoon.
Frilling is the fourth player in program history to be named the UAA Rookie if the Year, joining former Spartans Carson Oren (2002-03), Kevin Herring (2007-08) and Jordan Dean (2011-12). He was the only first-year player in the league to receive All-UAA honors this season, and is the first freshman in program history to be named to the All-UAA First Team.
