Case Western Reserve University senior forward Cole Frilling was named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for men's basketball after leading the Spartans to a pair of conference wins last weekend.
Frilling averaged 19.0 points and 6.5 rebounds (both team highs) over the two contests, shooting 14-of-21 (66.7%) overall, six-of-10 (60.0%) from three-point range, and a perfect four-of-four from the free throw line. In a 101-73 win over Brandeis on Friday, he scored 16 points and added three rebounds while shooting four-of-six overall, all from three-point range. He followed that with a 22-point, 10-rebound showing in a 96-92 win over NYU on Sunday, connecting on 10-of-15 shots overall, including two-of-four from three-point range.
