Case Western Reserve University first-year forward Cole Frilling was named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for Men's Basketball, after matching his career high in points and leading the Spartans to an 88-81 win over Carnegie Mellon University in their conference opener on Saturday afternoon.
Making the first start of his collegiate career, Frilling finished the game with 27 points on a nine-of-16 shooting effort, while draining a career-best four three pointers on six tries, and sinking all five of his free throw attempts. He added seven rebounds, four blocks an assist and a steal over his 35 minutes on the court.
