Case Western Reserve University senior forward T.J. Duckett and freshman guard Ignas Masiulionis combined for 30 second half points to lift the Spartans to a 78-73 win over the University of Chicago at Horsburgh Gymnasium in Cleveland, Ohio on Sunday afternoon.
The win put an end to a three-game skid for the Spartans, who improved to 8-8 overall and 2-3 in the University Athletic Association. Chicago dropped to 3-2 in the conference and to 7-9 overall with the loss.
Duckett finished a rebound shy of a double-double and led all Spartans with 22 points on a 10-of-13 shooting performance, scoring 18 points in the second half alone.
