Case Western Reserve University sophomore Daniel Watson was named the University Athletic Association Baseball Hitter of the Week, after leading the team to a perfect 4-0 record and pacing the squad with a .545 batting average (six-for-11), seven runs scored and five stolen bases on as many attempts during the week.
Watson, who saw time as the designated hitter and first baseman this week, added a double, five RBIs and a pair of walks, and tallied a .636 slugging percentage and .643 on base percentage over his three games. In an 11-6 win over Waynesburg University on Wednesday, he went two-for-four with four runs scored, two runs batted in and three stolen bases.
