Case Western Reserve University senior Nicholas Heim (Rahway, N.J. / Rahway) was selected as a recipient of the prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, awarded to just 174 student-athletes across all three NCAA divisions annually, who excel at an elite level in athletic competition, in the classroom, and in the local community.
Heim is the second Case Western Reserve athlete to win the honor this academic year, joining football player Dayton Snyder. He is the 23rd Spartan ever to win the award, and the 12th since the 2006 season.
Heim, who served as a team captain this year, claimed the honor for his performance during the indoor track and field season.
