The Case Western Reserve University baseball team saw its program-record 12-game winning streak come to a close with a 6-5 loss at Penn St. – Behrend in Erie, Pennsylvania in their penultimate game of the 2023 regular season on Saturday afternoon.
The loss dropped the Spartans to 26-13 on the season, while Penn State – Behrend improved to 20-15. Junior third baseman Zack Carinci went two-for-five with a run and an RBI, hitting safely for his program-record 30th-consecutive game. Senior outfielder Trey Haley added a two-for-five day with a double and three runs batted in.
