The Case Western Reserve University men's basketball team will take the court for the first time since February 29, 2020, looking to rebound off a lost season due to the pandemic with a rebuilt roster heading into the 2021-22 campaign.
The Spartans had hoped to build off a successful campaign in 2019-20 entering last season. The team finished the campaign with a 13-12 overall record, its first winning season under Head Coach Todd McGuinness, and had matched a program record with six wins in University Athletic Association play. Included in the team's overall record were wins against eighth-ranked Emory and 25th-ranked Brandeis, to go along with a 3-3 mark against opponents that would go on to qualify for the 2020 NCAA Division III Championships.
