Sean McDonnell, the head coach of the Case Western Reserve University men's basketball program since 2003, has announced his resignation.
McDonnell, the third head coach of the program since the federation of the University prior to the 1971-72 season, compiled 128 wins during his time with the team. In his 13 years at CWRU, McDonnell has coached three finalists for The Jostens Trophy (NCAA Division III National Player of the Year) and three Academic All-America honorees. His players received 34 All-University Athletic Association honors during his tenure, including five all-conference first team selections.
"Over the past 13 years, I've forged lifelong relationships with students, alumni, faculty, and staff at Case Western Reserve and will be forever grateful for my experiences here," said McDonnell.
