The Case Western Reserve University football team was ranked 21st in the NCAA Division III Preseason Top-25 in the 2020 edition of the Street & Smith's College Football Yearbook, while rising senior wide receiver Colt Morgan was selected as a Preseason All-American by the publication.
The Spartans are coming off a 9-2 season in 2019, during which the team claimed its second Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship in the last three years, and advanced to the NCAA Playoffs for the fifth time in team history. CWRU claimed the PAC title outright for the first time in the program's history, and finished the year with an 8-1 record in league play.
