The Case Western Reserve University football team made its initial appearance in the D3football.com top-25 poll, as the Spartans were ranked 25th in the organization's latest rankings, released on Monday.
This is the second-straight season that the Spartans have earned a spot in the organization's top-25, after climbing to as high as 18th in last season's rankings. Case Western Reserve had received votes in each of D3football.com's first eight polls of the season.
The Spartans also received 61 votes in the latest American Football Coaches Association rankings released on Monday as well. It was the second-highest total among teams outside the top-25.
