The Case Western Reserve University baseball team collected its seventh-consecutive win, defeating John Carroll University 15-3 in University Heights, Ohio on Tuesday afternoon.
The victory saw the Spartans climb to a season-best six games above .500 with a 15-9 overall record, while John Carroll dropped to 8-12 on the year. Tuesday's game marked the seventh time this season that the Spartans have scored at least 10 runs in a game, and the third time in the team's last four games. John Carroll jumped out to the early lead in the game, when Rob Cifelli led off the bottom of the first with a walk, eventually coming around to score on a sacrifice fly from David Crowley.
