The Case Western Reserve University men's basketball team suffered a 81-71 loss to New York University in New York, New York on Friday night.
Sophomore guard Ignas Masiulionis led all CWRU players in the game with 19 points, shooting seven-of-13 overall and four-of-nine from three-point range. Freshman Ryan Newton added a six-of-nine shooting performance for 15 points, and secured seven rebounds in the game.
The Spartans finished the game shooting 43.5% overall, but just 30.4% (seven-of-23) from behind the three-point line. CWRU started the game hot, hitting 48.1% of its shots in the opening 20 minutes and making four-of-nine three pointers.
