The Case Western Reserve University baseball team dropped a 3-2 decision to Emory University in its second-to-last game of the 2016 University Athletic Association Championships at Historic Sanford Memorial Stadium in Sanford, Florida.
The loss, which dropped Case Western Reserve to 7-7 overall and to 4-3 at the UAA tournament, clinched at least a share of the conference title for Washington University (Mo.), which will enter the final day of competition with a 5-2 UAA ledger. CWRU, Emory and the University of Rochester are each tied for second in the UAA at 4-3, and could split the conference title with the Bears with a win on Sunday, coupled with a loss by the Bears.
