The Case Western Reserve University baseball team swept a doubleheader against New York University for the second-straight day on Sunday, winning 3-1 in 11 innings in the early game and 5-3 in the second contest on Sunday, completing a four-game sweep of the Violets in a University Athletic Association series at MCU Park in Brooklyn, New York.
The Spartans have now won five-straight games, and improved to 17-8 overall, including a 4-2 mark in the UAA this season. NYU, which entered the weekend with just three losses total, dropped to 13-7 overall and to 0-4 in conference play.
