Case Western Reserve University clinched a series win at North Carolina Wesleyan College on Thursday afternoon, topping the Battling Bishops 6-4 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
The Spartans took two of three games against the Bishops during the week, improving to 3-9 overall, while North Carolina Wesleyan fell to 16-8 with the loss.
Sophomore Tyler Wypiszenski went three-for-four with four RBIs, his second game this week with four or more runs batted in. Senior Eric Eldred added a three-for-four day at the plate with an RBI. The Spartans took advantage of an error and a walk in the first inning, cashing in three runs on a two-out home run by Wypiszenski, his first of the season and second of his career.
