Case Western Reserve University finished the 2022-23 academic year 33rd in the LEARFIELD Directors' Cup Division III standings, matching the program's best-ever finish in the rankings.
It marked the second-straight year that CWRU has placed 33rd in the final Directors' Cup standings. The Spartans scored a program-record 497 points, eight more than last year's total.
The LEARFIELD Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.
Four different CWRU teams reached the NCAA Championships in the spring to add to the Spartans' total, led by the men's tennis team, which claimed the first NCAA Division III Team Championship in the history of the athletic department in May.
