Case Western Reserve University junior safety Patrick Crossey was named both the Presidents' Athletic Conference and University Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Week, while senior wide receiver Justin Phan was chosen as the UAA Offensive Player of the Week, and freshman quarterback Drew Saxton received PAC Rookie of the Week honors.
The awards come following the 19th-ranked Spartans' 35-14 victory on Saturday at Westminster College, which had previously been undefeated in PAC contests.
Crossey finished the game with a career-best 15 tackles (four solo), as his effort aided a Spartans' defense that held the Titans scoreless over the second half of the game, and yielded just 304 total yards of offense.
