With one out in the bottom of the 10th inning, junior infielder Trey Haley delivered a walk-off triple to give the Case Western Reserve University baseball team a come-from-behind 8-7 win over Brandeis University at Nobby's Ballpark in Cleveland, Ohio on Sunday afternoon.
The Spartans improved to 12-11 on the season and 6-2 in University Athletic Association play. With the win and a loss by second-place New York University, CWRU now leads the conference by two games with eight to play. The hosts took three of four from the Judges, who fell to 10-5 on the season and 1-3 in the UAA, tied for fourth in the conference ledger.
