Case Western Reserve University sophomore catcher Jack Anderson was selected as the University Athletic Association Hitter of the Week, after helping to lead the Spartans to wins in each of the three games he played in last weekend.
Anderson led the team with a .545 batting average (six-for-11), with four runs, a double, two triples, two RBIs and three stolen bases on as many attempts. The right-handed hitter made his season debut in the opening game of CWRU's doubleheader against Wittenberg, a 9-5 victory, going three-for-five with two runs, two RBIs, a double and a stolen base.
