Following more than a year away from intercollegiate competition, the Case Western Reserve University football team returned to the field in 2021 with a talented, but inexperienced group of players. The result was a 6-4 campaign, the team's sixth straight season with a winning record but its lowest win total since 2014. However, the Spartans are hoping to build upon a solid second half of the season when they won four of their final five games, including a 42-38 thrilling Homecoming win over Geneva College, as they head into the 2022 campaign.
"Because we didn't play in the spring of 2021, we had two classes that had never played college football before the 2021 season.
