#14 CWRU Tops Carnegie Mellon 41-34 in OT to Claim PAC & UAA Championships

In arguably the most exciting game in the rivalry's history, 14^th-ranked Case Western Reserve University defeated Carnegie Mellon University 41-34 in overtime in the 32^nd-Annual Academic Bowl to clinch an undefeated regular season, a share of the 2017 Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship, and the University Athletic Association Championship outright. The Spartans secured their first PAC Title since joining the conference as an affiliate member prior to the start of the 2014 campaign. With a perfect 8-0 record in conference play, CWRU finished tied atop the standings with 15^th-ranked Washington and Jefferson College, which topped Waynesburg 42-0 earlier in the day.
