Coming into the 2020 season many of us who follow the Panthers anticipated a breakout campaign for third year tight end Ian Thomas. After all, Greg Olsen was gone, Thomas sat atop the depth chart, and new quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is known for throwing short, accurate passes which can be nirvana for a tight end. Just Google “Ian Thomas breakout candidate” or “Ian Thomas fantasy sleeper” and you can see how many pundits were pumping him up.
But through Week 4 those of us with a seat on the Ian Thomas bandwagon are frustratedly glancing at our watches and emitting annoyed grunts, wondering when the wagon will get rolling.
